Three spring concerts will be held during the month of May at the Walton Central School District. The concerts will be for the high school, middle school and elementary school.
All will be held in the high school auditorium.
The high school concert is first and is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, May 12. The concert includes the symphonic orchestra and high school chorus, under the direction of Rebekah Doig. The high school band will also perform, directed by Raymond Bartlett. The high school brass ensemble will also perform.
At 7 p.m. Thursday, May 19, the middle school concert will take place. Large ensembles performing will include the middle school string orchestra and the seventh- and eighth-grade chorus, directed by Doig. The sixth-grade chorus, as well as the seventh- and eighth-grade band will be conducted by Bartlett.
Finally, the Townsend Elementary concert will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 24. The concert will include the elementary orchestra, beginning band, and advanced band conducted by Erik Parry, and the third-grade chorus, and fifth-grade chorus directed by Theresa Bolton.
The concerts are free and open to the public.
