Warriors Crush Hunger is underway

The annual Warriors Crush Hunger project is underway.

Football player Logan Aubin brought his truck to Walton’s Veterans Plaza to collect food at the “Fill the Truck Hunger Walk” event, which coincided with the kickoff with Warriors Crush Hunger project. Three big totes, as well as some extra boxes of food, were collected at the event. The food was delivered to the Walton food bank.

For many years, the football teams and mothers have collected food for homecoming weekend. This year, the project has been expanded to include all athletics teams with the hopes of having a bucket or truck available at each home game so spectators can contribute.

Kicking off the project from left are: Katelynn Brooks (field hockey), Chasidy Constable (field hockey), Logan Aubin (football), Ransom Dutcher (football), Jillian Wright (girls soccer), and Haven Merwin (girls soccer). In the second photo is boys soccer representative Josh Carr.
