Walton CSD third grader Anthony Salvia had two pieces of art selected to be on display for a challenge conducted by New York Agriculture in the Classroom in collaboration with View Arts.

The challenge was for students to submit 3x3 drawings of 26 commodities produced or manufactured in New York State. Students had to draw all 26 items to enter. Salvia was one of several students in Jodie Day’s class who participated.

Students from around the state submitted works for the project, and Salvia’s two pieces were of an ice cream truck, and a jar of maple cream. The selected artwork is on display at   a student exhibit in Old Forge.

The student exhibit had a virtual opening March 13, and the exhibit will close May 8. You can view the exhibit at https://bit.ly/311Z2t7.
