The Walton Central School District will utilize a new system for students to be pre-screened before coming to school, starting Tuesday, January 19.

The new process is one staff has been using and it’s a much quicker and easier process for parents and students.

On Tuesday, parents (as well as students in grades 11-12) will receive an email at about 5:30 a.m. If there are multiple students in the household, parents will receive one email per child. Please note, the link for each student is unique. For those in grades 11-12, the survey can be filled out by either parents or students, but only needs to be done once.

Follow the link in the email to answer a series of five questions. The survey should be finished in about 30 seconds.  Screening should be done prior to the student leaving for school each morning. Also, if a student is not attending, it’s important to still take the survey and answer “no” to the question about attending for the purposes of contact tracing.

Please see the attached for a step by step process for the new system.

Also, please note, starting Tuesday, the SchoolTool process will no longer be active.
