Three Walton CSD students have been selected as 2020 New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) area all-state members.
The students were selected as they are among the best musicians in the five counties of NYSSMA Zone 8. In other years, the students would have participated in the two-day festival held at SUNY Oneonta.
The first day would have been rehearsals, as well as the morning of the second day. A concert would have followed the afternoon of the second day.
However, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, there was no festival this year. However, the honor of being selected was based on their performance at the NYSSMA solo festival, as well as recommendations from their music teacher.
