Ag in the Classroom begins for the year

The first Ag in the Classroom took place last week, with high school students visiting kindergartners.

The program consists of high school students visiting elementary students and teaching related topics to different grade levels.

While visiting the kindergarten classes, students played word games with farm animals, as well as animal bingo. They also made a farm animal coloring book to take home.

The HS FFA chapter also received an incentive grant to help with this program, which helps the purchase of kits and items to add to the lessons.
Following the first visit, the students will visit the elementary school in February, March, April, and May, and then culminate the program with Ag Day at the end of May.
