The Walton CSD speech and debate team has performed well this season, taking part in several events so far, including hosting its third annual tournament this past fall.
Results from the events are as follows:
Walton tournament
Eighth schools from New York and Pennsylvania attended. Walton placed first.
Individual results: Celestine Mingle (first place, original oratory), Layla Sprague (first place, dramatic interpretation), Sophia Piro (first place, declamation; second place, impromptu); Mario Rosario (first place, impromptu), Christina Ritter (second place, declamation); Michelle Ritter (third place, dramatic interpretation); and Mara Little and Mario Rosario (second place, duo interpretation).
Third-place finish at Oneonta State
