Each year, Townsend Elementary has a community service project titled “Let’s Talk Turkey.” This year was once again a success as students helped collect $400.39.
All of Townsend Elementary participates in this project, which raises money to donate to the Walton Food Bank. The Walton Food Bank then distributes the turkeys for Thanksgiving.
In the photo, accepting the donation for the food back from the Arc of Delaware County were Carol Moore, Rita Altobello, and Seamus Killian. In the front are students Anika Fassler, Jali Shelton, and Maia Fassler. All three girls contributed baggies full of change for the project.
