Health class engineers food trucks

The seventh-grade health class recently engineered food trucks, and presented their USDA-approved signature dishes.

Student dishes included pizza, spaghetti, vegan burgers, salads, and apple cider. Some students even brought in real items for people to taste, such as smoothies, tuna and peaches on crackers, and fruit salad.

While the students were busy creating their dishes, they learned about food groups, portion sizes, and how to read the new food label and much more. Afterward, there was a food truck race, which was won by the Mexican Fiesta truck.
