Students in Jodie Day’s third-grade class had the chance to learn about watersheds during a recent visit from Hanford Mills Museum.

The museum received grant funding from the Catskill Watershed Corporation to offer free UPK-8 classroom outreach programs.

Day’s class received a presentation titled “Water, Water Everywhere?” A Enviroscape 3D model, as well as hands-on activities, allowed students to learn about watersheds, sources of pollution, and the impact of the pollution on the watershed. They also had the chance to discuss possible solutions and best management practices.
