Walton high school holds college and career week

In early April, the Walton Central School District held a college and career week in the high school.

The week included a variety of events and activities to promote college and career awareness. More than 70 students participated in the daily career chats, learning about careers in culinary arts, mental health, nursing, engineering, and law enforcement.

All juniors attended a college panel to learn from admissions representatives about the college application process, and what each college has to offer.

Thirty-six juniors attended the Delaware County College Career Fair held at Delaware Academy, and 46 seniors declared their post high school plans.

Career interest inventories were done with students in English 10 and 11, helping them explore careers that best match their interests.

To celebrate the end of the week, many staff and students wore college clothing.
