Earlier this month, Music on the Delaware sponsored a workshop and performance by the piano duo of Stephanie Trick and Paolo Alderighi at Walton CSD.

The duo taught and performed for the high school chorus, and then for the high school and middle school music students.

Trick and Alderighi are world class musicians who played four hands together one piano, and are dedicated to arrangements from the swing era, as well as with a ragtime and blues repertoire.

Trick, who is from St. Louis, is a leading exponent for stride piano. Alderighi is one of Italy’s foremost jazz pianists. Together, the husband and wife duo produce an exciting presentation of piano, peppered with humor and familiar music, history, and origins of jazz.

Trick and Alderighi have appeared all over the world and have produced five CDs.
