Four student artists at Walton CSD had artwork selected to be featured in the upcoming exhibition at the Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown.
The exhibition, titles “Young at Art! Timless Tales, Vibrant Visions” will be on view from April 1-May 7. Student winners and their families and teachers will be part of the reception and awards ceremony on April 12.
Walton selections included:
- Senior JiaLin He (teacher: Rachel Vesterfelt)
- Senior Arianna Rosario (teacher: Lara Fassler)
- Seventh-grader Fin Kane (teacher: Lara Fassler)
- Sixth-grader Lena Storrer (teacher: Lara Fassler)
In order to be considered for this contest, students had to design an artwork that represented a legend, as well as including a short essay describing how the artwork reflected a legend. More than 300 submissions from 27 schools were received.
Congratulations to all four students!
