All five of Walton CSD’s winter sports teams earned scholar-athlete honors from the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) for the 2023-24 season.
The boys and girls basketball teams featured players from Walton and Downsville, and the wrestling team featured athletes from Walton, Delaware Academy, and Downsville.
Pictured below are those on the scholar-athlete teams who achieved a GPA of 90 and above. To be recognized as a team, the cumulative GPA of the team had to be 90 and above.
The girls indoor track and field team had the top average among the teams, with a 98.34 GPA. Girls basketball was second with a 94.3, followed by boys indoor track and field (92.25), boys basketball (90.89), and wrestling (90.27).
The Midstate Athletic Conference scholar-athletes, recognized as the top GPA on each team, are also pictured below.
